Tom O’Dwyer

Tom is an experienced lawyer focusing largely on commercial law and estate planning.

Originally from Bendigo, Tom started work at Nevetts in 2019 while finishing his law degree and was admitted to practice in April 2021.

Tom’s expertise centres largely around giving timely and practical advice in regard to business sales and purchases, commercial and retail leasing, wills, and succession planning for small to medium enterprises.

Tom was President of the Ballarat & District Law Association from September 2021 until October 2024, before taking the role as treasurer of the association, a position that he continues to hold.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys watching football, he has played for local clubs in Melbourne and Bendigo and the Central Highlands Football League.

• Farming matters including leases and licences, share farm agreements, harvesting, transport and bulk storage and handling agreements
• Business and farm succession planning
• Estate planning including comprehensive structure reviews and complex estate planning advice, preparation of wills, powers of attorney and associated documentation.
